PTRuk announce the launch of it's very own
PTRuk Assistant Coaches Course.
Called the PTRuk Kids Tennis Programme it is aimed at
producing assistant coaches and volunteers who
might be looking to take the first step onto
the coaching ladder and is run by current PTR/UKCC
tutors.
On successful completion of this course the
candidates will be able to:-
• Motivate and inspire anyone to play and stay in
tennis.
• Understand how to communicate effectively to enhance
player learning and motivation.
• Organise drills, skills and games in a purposeful and
safe manner utilising the graduated tennis
method.
• Understand how to plan and deliver a structured lesson
for all ages.
• Have a basic knowledge of tactics, technique, basic
psychology, fitness and movement.
• Know the rules of tennis.
• Understanding player standards and guidelines.
• How to run an instant tennis programme and the
structure of PTR kids tennis programme.
• This course will lead to a UKCC level 1 qualification and
will require you to complete an VRQ File and
attend a formal assessment day in the future.
• Work only as assistants under your direct
supervision.

How to apply
To be eligible you must be at least 15 years
old on the first day of the course and you
will need to complete the application form and
return it with the full fee.
